Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- ability to obtain DOT medical certification and maintain it
- valid driver's license meeting fleet insurance standards
- willingness to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to perform loading, unloading, and delivery tasks
- ability to travel overnight if necessary
- strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications
- minimum of one year related experience in retail sales, direct store delivery (DSD) sales, or business-to-business sales
- ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- strong communication and customer service skills
- proficiency in inventory and order management
- aptitude for learning and applying sales strategies
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- professional appearance and reliable attendance
- knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- competence in using technology for order planning and reporting
Job Duties
- obtain DOT medical certification and re-certification to drive a CMV
- meet the fleet insurance guidelines related to motor vehicle records
- perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records
- operate a commercial motor vehicle safely and efficiently
- adhere to FMCSA/DOT rules and cooperate with roadside inspections
- secure and organize inventory in the delivery truck
- leverage sales data and marketing plans to drive customer growth
- cover routes for other drivers as needed
- learn and apply tasks in the Route Sales Operations Manual
- establish and maintain strong customer relations
- order products using an online planner
- increase sales through shelf space expansion and promotions
- adhere to assigned routes, sequences, and service times
- follow retailer standard operating procedures including check in and service windows
- rotate products and remove damaged or expired products
- maximize shelf life with proper rotation practices
- perform daily route settlement and accurate invoicing
- conduct weekly inventory checks
- support new product introductions and promotional displays
- obtain authorization for product displays
- review route analysis and performance metrics
- comply with customer shelf schematics
- master route sales and delivery training
- comply with company policies including safety and equal employment opportunity
- perform additional duties including adherence to schedules and attendance
- maintain and acquire necessary DOT medical card
