Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum of 1-year related experience in retail sales, direct store delivery sales, or business-to-business sales
- ability to obtain DOT medical certification and maintain it
- compliance with fleet insurance guidelines related to motor vehicle record
- ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records
- capability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- willingness to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and holidays
- availability for occasional overnight travel
- professional appearance and adherence to uniform requirements
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to use technology such as handheld computing devices and online order planners
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- obtain DOT medical certification and re-certification to drive a CMV
- meet fleet insurance guidelines related to motor vehicle record
- perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate vehicle records
- safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle
- adhere to FMCSA/DOT and local regulations
- cooperate with DOT roadside inspections
- maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace and vehicle
- secure and organize inventory to prevent damage
- use sales data and marketing plans to drive customer growth
- operate company routes and provide coverage for other sales representatives
- learn tasks outlined in the route sales operations manual
- establish and maintain strong customer relations
- order products using online order planners
- increase sales through shelf space expansion and in-store promotions
- adhere to assigned route structure and service times
- follow retailer standard operating procedures
- rotate products following fresh market policy
- remove damaged or expired products
- maximize shelf life by proper product rotation
- perform daily route settlements including invoicing and cash collection
- conduct weekly inventory at select accounts
- support new product introductions and promotional displays
- obtain authorization for promotional displays
- review route analysis and key performance indicators
- comply with shelf schematics and plan-o-grams
- master best practices of route sales and delivery training
- comply with company policies and procedures
- perform other duties assigned by management
- acquire and maintain DOT medical card
