Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification
- meet fleet insurance guidelines related to motor vehicle record
- ability to perform vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- capability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- eligibility for overnight travel

Job Qualifications
- minimum of 1-year related experience in retail sales, DSD sales, and/or business-to-business sales
- ability to safely operate commercial motor vehicles
- proficiency in using technology tools for ordering and inventory
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- willingness to work non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays
- capacity to travel overnight as needed
- professional appearance and customer service orientation
- ability to learn and follow detailed procedures and regulations
- commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Duties
- obtain DOT medical certification and re-certification to drive a CMV
- meet fleet insurance guidelines related to motor vehicle record
- perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records
- safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle
- adhere to all FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations
- cooperate with DOT roadside inspections
- maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace and vehicle
- secure and organize inventory to prevent product damage
- leverage sales data and marketing plans to drive growth
- operate company routes and cover for other drivers as needed
- learn tasks outlined in Route Sales Operations Manual
- establish and maintain strong customer relations
- order product using an online order planner
- increase sales through shelf space expansion and promotions
- adhere to assigned route structure and service times
- follow retailer standard operating procedures
- rotate products and remove damaged items
- follow shelf-life cycle of products
- maximize shelf life with proper stock rotation
- complete daily route settlement, invoicing, and cash collection
- perform weekly inventory using handheld devices
- support new product introductions and gain shelf space
- obtain authorization for promotional displays and assemble them
- review route analysis to identify sales opportunities
- review key performance indicators to reduce costs and drive sales
- adhere to customer shelf schematics and planograms
- master best practices of Route Sales and Delivery training
- ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
