Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Solid work history with at least one year at previous employers
- Sales experience
- Industry experience preferred
- Proven safe work history
- Ability to pass pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen, and physical
- Minimum age of 21
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
- Clean driving record with driving abstract
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, reach, kneel and squat
- Ability to communicate with owners, managers, and supervisors
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to uphold company core values
- Willingness to join union
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of sales experience, industry experience preferred
- Proven safe work history
- Ability to communicate effectively with owners, managers, and supervisors in grocery stores, restaurants, and institutions
- Valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to join union upon hire
Job Duties
- Loads delivery trucks at regional loading depots with various bakery products
- Delivers products to retail and institutional customers
- Retrieves outdated bakery products from customers and returns them to loading depots
- Reorders bakery products to keep shelves stocked and properly faced
- Meets or exceeds budgeted objectives
- Performs duties according to company guidelines in a safe and timely manner
- Uses handheld devices properly as per company guidelines
- Conducts pre-trip evaluations and loads trucks following Fleet Safety Policy
- Operates and maintains vehicle in accordance with Smith Driving System and Fleet Safety Policy
- Distributes products according to Safe Work Methods and company guidelines
- Performs additional duties as assigned
