Job Requirements
- Ability to develop strong relationships and provide a high level of customer service
- 1+ years’ experience in retail, sales, or a field based supervisor role
- Personal access to functional tools such as smartphone or smart pad and computer
- Communicate timely with management through phone or e-mail
- Be able to lift up to 35lbs, walk, stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
- Access to reliable and insured vehicle with current and valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience in retail, sales, or a field-based supervisory role
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with management via phone and email
- Knowledge of basic inventory and invoicing procedures
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain delivery vehicles safely
- Proficiency in using smartphones, smart pads, or computers for work-related tasks
Job Duties
- Sales and servicing accounts on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure ample, fresh product is stocked for all current and new customers assigned to the route or found by the salesperson
- Driver calls on established customers along the route and persuades them to accept delivery of increased amounts of goods or new products
- Greet store attendants, owners, department managers, or responsible purchasing persons at customer locations
- Attempt to sell products not currently carried by stores by highlighting their success in other locations
- Negotiate for space or improved placement of goods to increase sales and commissions
- Rotate and restock product on shelves to prevent expired products and ensure freshness
- Accurately issue invoices and credit memos, verify quantities and product codes with customers
- Count truck inventory for accuracy and verify product transfers
- Complete expense reports and settle-up documents promptly and accurately
- Collect payments from cash, charge, and delinquent accounts on the route
- Maintain valid driver’s license and driving records in compliance with DOT
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance, fuel truck, and submit vehicle for scheduled service
- Report all accidents immediately to supervisors and comply with reporting procedures
