Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
valid Nebraska driver’s license and insurable
ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks
ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and physical requirements
commitment to organizational mission and values

Job Qualifications

high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
ability for flexible scheduling including some evening and weekend work
must have a valid Nebraska driver’s license and be insurable
computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word, Excel
ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and physical requirements
commitment to Food Bank of Lincoln’s mission and values
ability to provide excellent customer service via active listening and communication
ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively work with diverse groups
ability to work independently and collaboratively
ability to safely operate forklifts and both manual and electric pallet jacks
commercial driver's license (CDL-A or CDL-B) preferred but not required

Job Duties

deliver Food Bank products to partners in Lincoln and Southeast Nebraska service area
daily pickups from local retailers and grocery stores
load and unload product at partners, agencies, and at the Food Bank by forklift, pallet jacks or by hand
facilitate food distributions and organize volunteers at program activities including Lincoln Fresh, Hometown Fresh, and Mobile Food Distributions
enter incoming and outgoing product into Food Bank inventory software system
provide assistance in Distribution Center including running routes, deliveries, and recycling
participate in cleaning and maintenance of Food Bank vehicles and equipment
conduct daily truck inspections and maintain a clean vehicle
support the Food Bank’s overall safety efforts
support and practice food safety and AIB processes
perform other duties as assigned
