Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Nebraska driver’s license and insurable
  • ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and physical requirements
  • commitment to organizational mission and values

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
  • ability for flexible scheduling including some evening and weekend work
  • must have a valid Nebraska driver’s license and be insurable
  • computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word, Excel
  • ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and physical requirements
  • commitment to Food Bank of Lincoln’s mission and values
  • ability to provide excellent customer service via active listening and communication
  • ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively work with diverse groups
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • ability to safely operate forklifts and both manual and electric pallet jacks
  • commercial driver's license (CDL-A or CDL-B) preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • deliver Food Bank products to partners in Lincoln and Southeast Nebraska service area
  • daily pickups from local retailers and grocery stores
  • load and unload product at partners, agencies, and at the Food Bank by forklift, pallet jacks or by hand
  • facilitate food distributions and organize volunteers at program activities including Lincoln Fresh, Hometown Fresh, and Mobile Food Distributions
  • enter incoming and outgoing product into Food Bank inventory software system
  • provide assistance in Distribution Center including running routes, deliveries, and recycling
  • participate in cleaning and maintenance of Food Bank vehicles and equipment
  • conduct daily truck inspections and maintain a clean vehicle
  • support the Food Bank’s overall safety efforts
  • support and practice food safety and AIB processes
  • perform other duties as assigned
