Job Requirements
- Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
- Be able to push and pull soil and clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs on wheels
- Consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
- Must have a clean driving record per company policy
- Be available to drive nights and weekends
- Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
- Be able to use repetitive arm motions
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A driver’s license
- Two years of driving experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well with a diverse workforce
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Ability to maintain daily and weekly paperwork
- Ability to perform equipment inspections
Job Duties
- Operate company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities
- Load and unload laundry carts
- Establish professional relationship with customers and provide quality customer service
- Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations
- Perform pre and post route vehicle inspections
- Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules
- Follow standard vehicle operating procedures
