Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year culinary experience in a high volume restaurant kitchen
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • able to push/pull weights up to 25lbs frequently and 75lbs occasionally
  • good physical agility including reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and balancing
  • ability to work in environments with extreme heat, cold, wet, or humid conditions
  • adaptable to noise and fumes/odor exposure
  • capable of repetitive manual tasks including finger dexterity
  • flexible to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year culinary experience in a high volume restaurant kitchen or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • strong knowledge of food service industry, cuisines and beverages
  • ability to follow instructions and complete tasks
  • good communication skills for clear guest interaction
  • problem-solving and independent judgment skills
  • flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends

Job Duties

  • Safely prepare all food prep and food items in accordance with standard hotel recipes and specifications
  • ensure good turnover of products by practicing proper rotation and maintaining stock quality
  • listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice
  • answer questions and provide excellent guest service
  • monitor (in the absence of the Saucier or Sous Chef) staff performance, product quality and production flow
  • foster improvements where needed
  • participate in the activities of cooks and other team members involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with hotel productivity standards, cost controls and special needs
  • make constant contact with both internal and external guests to provide optimal guest service, including communication with various hotel departments
  • perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
