Job Requirements

  • Current commercial or ATP rotorcraft pilot certificate with instrument rating
  • Current class II medical certificate
  • Minimum 2,500 PIC flight hours in helicopters
  • 500 cross country flight hours including 100 at night
  • 75 actual or simulated instrument flight hours including 50 actual flight hours
  • Weight in flight uniform under 206 lbs
  • Pass part 135.293 check ride post INDOC training
  • Submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per FAA and company policies
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to patient and equipment handling
  • Capacity to communicate verbally and understand spoken information
  • Willingness to work varying shifts across multiple locations
  • Compliance with federal and company aviation safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current commercial pilot or ATP rotorcraft certificate with instrument rating
  • Possess a current class II medical certificate
  • Have at least 2,500 PIC flight hours in helicopters
  • Record 500 cross country flight hours, including 100 at night
  • Have 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time including 50 actual flight hours
  • Pass part 135.293 check ride after INDOC training
  • Participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to support and assist medical crewmembers
  • Preferred night vision goggle qualification and mountain flying experience
  • EMS experience
  • 300 night flight hours
  • Actual IFR experience

Job Duties

  • Safely and effectively operate aircraft in accordance with federal regulations and company policies
  • Demonstrate independent critical thinking in preflight planning and aircraft operations
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members, communication specialists, and patients or family members
  • Ensure aircraft cleanliness and proper functioning
  • Evaluate transports following defined service criteria and guidelines
  • Participate in professional development activities and educational programs
  • Assist medical crewmembers with operational duties such as patient loading and equipment handling
  • Serve as Instructor or Check Pilot for evaluating pilot performance and training
  • Act as Safety Representative to monitor and resolve safety-related issues and participate in safety committees
