Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Two years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and staff
  • Proficiency in financial and operational performance review
  • Ability to conduct interviews and assist in hiring
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • Experience conducting staff meetings and training
  • Knowledge of scheduling and staff development strategies

Job Duties

  • Verifies that goals related to guest tracking and productivity are communicated to the team
  • Creates and nurtures an environment emphasizing motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Develops game plans based on employee and guest satisfaction results
  • Ensures the team has the capabilities to meet expectations
  • Leads by example with self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Assists employees in understanding and exceeding guests’ needs and expectations
  • Manages execution of operations in departments such as Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping
  • Follows property-specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Publishes guest satisfaction results in a timely manner
  • Takes proactive approaches to employee and guest concerns
  • Communicates goals and results regularly with employees
  • Conducts semiannual one-on-one meetings with staff
  • Oversees scheduling aligned with guest and room occupancy goals
  • Performs hourly job functions as needed
  • Assists in hiring and orientation activities
  • Reviews financial statements and reports to maximize department profitability
  • Ensures compliance with key control programs and quality audits
  • Supports fair administration of property policies and disciplinary procedures
  • Recognizes and celebrates team contributions
