Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in hotel or related field or 4-year college degree with 1 year experience or 2-year degree with 2 years experience
- Supervisory experience required
- Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing

Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or 4-year college degree with at least 1 year related experience or 2-year college degree with 2 or more years related experience
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Proficiency in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing
- Ability to work long hours sometimes
- Medium work capability including exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Strong listening and clarification skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor
- Attendance at all required meetings and training
- Participation in MOD coverage as required
- Regular attendance in compliance with scheduling needs
- High standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags

Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and employees at all times
- Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints, and accidents efficiently and courteously
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all Rooms Division personnel per Highgate SOPs
- Assist in preparing and conducting Rooms Division interviews and support recruiting efforts
- Develop employee morale and ensure training of Rooms Division personnel
- Maintain professional relationships and promote communication with managers, employees, and departments
- Ensure implementation of all Highgate policies and house rules
- Monitor oversold dates to maximize room revenue
- Tour Rooms operating departments daily, greeting employees and soliciting feedback
- Monitor completion of Service Standards and training checklists for staff
- Assist in maximizing room revenue and occupancy through daily status review
- Attend daily and monthly Rooms Merchandizing meetings
- Assist in monthly reforecast preparation
- Monitor and support corporate Guest Recognition Program
- Monitor expenses to ensure expense control and maximize profit
- Ensure compliance with SOPs in Rooms and Loss Prevention
- Conduct walk-throughs of public areas and guestrooms for cleanliness and maintenance
- Perform Rooms Managers' performance reviews per SOPs
- Monitor labor expenses and ensure budgeted productivity
- Prepare department heads for succession
- Operate Front Office computer system and ensure proper software use
- Monitor PBX console operation
- Assist in revenue and occupancy forecasting
- Carry and operate communication devices professionally
- Coordinate implementation of the Highgate service philosophy
- Be knowledgeable of corporate marketing programs and ensure staff understanding
- Monitor VIPs, special guests, and requests
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
