Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of elevators and fire safety equipment
- Experience in preventive maintenance scheduling
- Ability to diagnose and repair hotel systems
- Understanding of energy-efficient practices
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Certifications such as HVAC technician, electrician license, or OSHA safety training preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems as well as elevators and fire safety equipment
- Skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for long-term efficiency
- Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
- Understanding energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability
- Certifications like HVAC technician, electrician license, or OSHA safety training are preferred
- Awareness of guest sensitivity and the impact of maintenance activities on guests and measures to minimize disruptions
Job Duties
- Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators
- Perform or supervise preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment
- Ensure all hotel facilities including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are in excellent condition
- Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations including fire safety and building codes
- Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections
- Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices
- Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects
