Job Requirements

  • prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted
  • ability to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel
  • must have the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
  • must be honest and trustworthy
  • must pass appropriate security clearances
  • ability to work alone and as a team member
  • ability to multitask and remain service centric
  • ability to learn and use housekeeping computer systems such as Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
  • must exercise discretion to maintain guest privacy
  • must be physically present at the hotel and able to work any shift including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge of proper linen handling procedures
  • knowledge of sanitation practices for guestrooms and public areas
  • understanding of guestroom cleaning procedures
  • awareness of safety and security measures
  • ability to assist in supervising and managing staff techniques
  • knowledge of housekeeping materials, supplies, and equipment
  • organizational skills for maintaining logs and inventories
  • ability to maintain guest privacy
  • ability to follow systematic cleaning procedures
  • professional and hospitable attitude towards guests

Job Duties

  • assist in coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team
  • ensure safety and security by maintaining key control
  • assist with monthly inventories and supplies management
  • clean vacant and occupied rooms to brand standards
  • follow cleaning procedures as per training checklist
  • report discrepancies to management
  • maintain cleanliness in public and back-of-house areas
  • respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • understand and apply emergency procedures
  • maintain professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards
  • perform additional duties as assigned
