Job Requirements

  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours and perform physical movements including bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, and kneeling
  • Must be able to see and hear
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, lodging, or related fields helpful but not mandatory
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of guestroom cleaning procedures
  • Ability to use computer systems like Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
  • Experience working in a team and independently
  • Effective communication with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to maintain guest privacy
  • Understanding of safety and security protocols

Job Duties

  • Assist in coordinating the activities of the Housekeeping Team
  • Ensure associates take breaks and clock in/out on time
  • Manage key control for guests and associates
  • Assist with monthly inventories and supply ordering
  • Clean vacant and occupied rooms to brand standards
  • Follow all cleaning procedures and training checklists
  • Report discrepancies to Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager
  • Maintain other hotel areas including breakroom, restrooms, and public spaces
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards
  • Follow emergency procedures and ensure safety and security
  • Perform other duties as assigned
