Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy equipment
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to comprehend and communicate basic English
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
  • willingness to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in housekeeping or custodial work is advantageous
  • knowledge of stain removal and cleaning chemicals
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • basic English proficiency for communication and safety instructions
  • ability to follow supervisor instructions
  • physical ability to lift heavy equipment and furniture up to 100 pounds
  • basic understanding of safety and chemical handling standards

Job Duties

  • Empty Room Attendant carts of solid linen and trash
  • vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, stairwells, and foyers
  • clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors
  • polish and clean mirrors
  • obtain amenities and supplies for Room attendants
  • flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor
  • ensure linen closets are fully stocked
  • supply room attendants with clean linens
  • use proper communication etiquette (phone/radio)
  • properly handle dirty linen (usage of linen shoots)
  • maintain closet cleanliness
  • remove dirty glasses and bring to dishwashing area
  • assist Room attendants with removal of trash and linen during high occupancy
  • assist Shampooer with relocation of furniture
  • respond to guest questions
  • provide guest assistance, directions and information as requested
  • report suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions to management
  • provide safety instruction for guests and employees in emergency situations
  • perform other duties as assigned
