Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy equipment
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to comprehend and communicate basic English
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- willingness to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or custodial work is advantageous
- knowledge of stain removal and cleaning chemicals
- ability to operate cleaning equipment
- basic English proficiency for communication and safety instructions
- ability to follow supervisor instructions
- physical ability to lift heavy equipment and furniture up to 100 pounds
- basic understanding of safety and chemical handling standards
Job Duties
- Empty Room Attendant carts of solid linen and trash
- vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, stairwells, and foyers
- clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors
- polish and clean mirrors
- obtain amenities and supplies for Room attendants
- flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor
- ensure linen closets are fully stocked
- supply room attendants with clean linens
- use proper communication etiquette (phone/radio)
- properly handle dirty linen (usage of linen shoots)
- maintain closet cleanliness
- remove dirty glasses and bring to dishwashing area
- assist Room attendants with removal of trash and linen during high occupancy
- assist Shampooer with relocation of furniture
- respond to guest questions
- provide guest assistance, directions and information as requested
- report suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions to management
- provide safety instruction for guests and employees in emergency situations
- perform other duties as assigned
