Job Duties
- Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible
- preregister selected guests and prepare key packages
- organize and coordinate check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups
- review, track and address requests for room changes or departure dates and communicate status to appropriate staff
- confirm reservations and cancellations
- check rooms out of service daily
- ensure rates comply with market standards and document exceptions
- verify and adjust guest billing
- file guest paperwork and documentation
- organize and process all guest check-in and check-out records
- activate room keys
- obtain valid payments
- identify overassigned rooms
- check for duplicate reservations and block rooms
- prepare daily reports
- follow up with guests to ensure requests or issues are met satisfactorily
- receive, record and transmit messages accurately and legibly
- comply with company policies and procedures
- maintain a professional appearance and uniform
- keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets
- welcome and recognize all guests per company standards
- anticipate and fulfill service needs
- assist guests with disabilities
- communicate clearly and professionally
- prepare and review written documents accurately
- handle telephone calls using proper protocol
- coordinate tasks and work with other departments
- serve as a department role model or mentor
- maintain positive working relationships
- support team goals
- comply with quality and safety standards
- stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- use computers and point of sale systems
- move, lift and transport objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
