Job Duties
- Assign guest rooms according to requests and preferences when possible
- pre-register selected guests and prepare key packets
- organize and coordinate group check-in and pre-registration procedures
- examine and follow up on room change or departure date requests and communicate status
- confirm reservations and cancellations
- inspect rooms out of service daily
- ensure room rates comply with market standards and document exceptions
- verify and adjust guest billing
- file guest paperwork and documentation
- organize and process guest check-in and check-out records
- activate room keys
- obtain valid guest payments
- identify over-assigned rooms
- check for duplicate reservations and block rooms
- prepare daily reports
- follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction of requests or issues
- receive, record, and relay messages accurately
- adhere to company policies and maintain professional appearance
- greet guests according to company standards and anticipate service needs
- assist guests with disabilities
- communicate clearly and professionally
- coordinate tasks with other departments
- serve as a departmental role model or mentor
- cultivate positive workplace relationships
- adhere to quality and safety standards
- stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- use computers and point-of-sale systems
