Job Duties
- Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences when possible
- Pre-register selected guests and prepare key packages
- Organize and coordinate arrival and pre-registration procedures for groups
- Review, follow up, and address room changes or departure date modifications, communicating status to relevant staff
- Confirm reservations and cancellations
- Inspect rooms out of service daily
- Ensure rates comply with market standards and document all exceptions
- Verify and adjust guest billing
- File guest paperwork and documentation
- Organize and process all guest check-in and check-out registrations
- Activate room keys
- Obtain valid payments
- Identify and resolve over-allocated room assignments
- Check for duplicate reservations and block rooms accordingly
- Prepare daily reports
- Follow up with guests to ensure requests and issues are resolved satisfactorily
- Receive, log, and transmit messages accurately, completely, and legibly
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- Greet guests warmly per company standards
- Anticipate and respond to guest service needs
- Assist persons with disabilities
- Communicate clearly and professionally using appropriate language
- Prepare and review accurate documentation
- Answer phones using proper protocol
- Coordinate tasks with other departments
- Serve as a departmental role model or mentor
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships
- Support team goals
- Adhere to safety and quality standards
- Stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- Use computers and point of sale systems to enter and locate information
- Move or lift objects up to 10 pounds unassisted
- Perform other reasonable work duties as assigned by supervisors
