Job Duties

  • Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences
  • Pre-register selected guests and prepare key packets
  • Organize and coordinate check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups
  • Examine, follow up, and address requests for room changes or departure date adjustments
  • Confirm reservations and cancellations
  • Check daily out-of-service rooms
  • Ensure room rates comply with market standards and document exceptions
  • Verify and adjust guest billing
  • File guest paperwork and documentation
  • Organize and process guest check-in and check-out records
  • Activate room keys
  • Obtain valid payments
  • Identify overbooked rooms
  • Check for duplicate reservations and block rooms
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or issues are resolved satisfactorily
  • Receive, record, and accurately relay messages
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Welcome and assist guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate and attend to guest needs
  • Assist individuals with disabilities
  • Communicate clearly using professional language
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately
  • Answer phones following proper protocols
  • Coordinate tasks and work with other departments
  • Serve as a departmental role model or mentor
  • Foster positive workplace relationships and support team objectives
  • Follow quality safety standards
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve information
  • Move and handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds
