Job Duties

  • Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences
  • pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets
  • organize and coordinate check-in and pre-registration for arriving groups
  • review, track, and accommodate requests for room and check-out changes
  • communicate status to appropriate staff
  • confirm reservations and cancellations
  • review out-of-order rooms daily
  • ensure rates match market codes and document exceptions
  • verify and adjust billing for guests
  • file guest paperwork or documentation
  • set up and process all guest check-ins and check-outs
  • activate room keys
  • secure valid payment
  • identify over-commitments
  • perform duplicate reservation checks and block rooms
  • run daily reports
  • follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • receive, record, and relay messages accurately
  • uphold company policies and procedures
  • welcome guests and anticipate service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • speak clearly and professionally
  • coordinate tasks with other departments
  • serve as a departmental role model
  • develop positive working relationships
  • comply with quality standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • use computers and POS systems
  • move and lift objects up to 10 pounds
  • perform additional duties as requested
