Job Duties
- Assign rooms based on guest requests and preferences whenever possible
- Pre-register selected guests and prepare key packets
- Organize and coordinate advance check-in procedures for arriving groups
- Monitor and address guest requests for room changes or departure date adjustments
- Confirm reservations and cancellations
- Examine daily rooms out of service
- Ensure room rates comply with market standards and document exceptions
- Verify and adjust guest billing
- Archive guest paperwork and documentation
- Process all guest check-in and check-out records
- Activate room keys
- Obtain valid payments
- Identify over-assigned rooms
- Check for duplicated reservations and block rooms
- Prepare daily reports
- Follow up with guests to ensure requests or issues are resolved
- Accurately receive, record, and transmit messages
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality
- Greet all guests according to company standards and anticipate service needs
- Assist guests with disabilities
- Use clear and professional communication with colleagues
- Prepare and review written documents
- Answer phones using proper protocol
- Coordinate tasks with other departments
- Serve as a role model or mentor
- Foster positive working relationships
