Job Requirements
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, overnights, and holidays
- full open availability required due to union position
- ability to handle varying work hours and shifts
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to lift and carry trays and supplies
- basic math skills for handling payments
- adherence to company dress code and grooming standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work various shifts including overnights
- ability to comply with federal, state, and local alcohol service regulations
Job Duties
- Set up room service trays and tables to prepare for incoming orders
- retrieve checks and set tables according to specifications
- retrieve food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar and deliver food to guest rooms and meeting rooms
- serve meals to guests and collect guest trays
- respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- present checks to guests and obtain payment
- perform order taker duties and answer room service telephone as needed
