Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • must be able to read and communicate effectively with patients
  • ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, speak and hear
  • lifting limited to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
  • able to use assisted-lift device or get assistance for lifting over limits
  • availability for full-time shifts including rotating weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to read and communicate effectively with patients
  • strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • capable of following policies and procedures accurately
  • team-oriented mindset with attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Deliver room service meals to patients and snacks as ordered
  • ensure timely and efficient delivery of patient meals within 45 minutes of order placement
  • assist patients by setting up room service trays within reach
  • properly identify patients using two identifiers prior to tray delivery per policy
  • communicate effectively with Call Center and Room Service Shift Supervisor to report patient needs, complaints and tray errors
  • assist patients with special needs by providing bedside ordering assistance
  • collect payment for guest trays and deliver money to cashier per policy
  • maintain cleanliness and par stock levels in patient nourishment and waiting areas
  • collect dirty trays and coordinate exchanges for clean carts with Dish Room Attendant
