Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively with patients
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift up to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly
  • Must adhere to HACCP and regulatory agency policies
  • Employment type full-time

Job Duties

  • Delivers room service meals to patients within 45 minutes of the order being placed
  • Assists patients by setting up room service trays within reach
  • Properly identifies patients using two identifiers prior to tray delivery
  • Communicates effectively with Call Center and Room Service Shift Supervisor regarding patient needs, complaints, and tray errors
  • Assists in orienting patients and guests to room service procedures and provides bedside ordering assistance for patients with special needs
  • Collects payment for guest trays and delivers money to cashier as per policy
  • Maintains cleanliness and stock levels in patient nourishment and waiting areas
  • Collects dirty trays from patient rooms and coordinates exchanges for clean carts with Dish Room Attendant
