Job Duties

  • Take room service telephone orders
  • respond to menu selection questions and confirm orders with kitchen staff
  • answer guest inquiries regarding wine origin, harvest, and styles
  • locate and log callbacks for room service orders
  • notify guests and management of service delays
  • communicate extra food orders, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to kitchen
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • record transactions in MICROS system at the time of order
  • complete closing reports including MICROS reports
  • process all payment methods
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
  • participate in safety training and obtain certifications
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • anticipate and meet service needs
  • assist disabled persons
  • thank guests sincerely
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • answer telephones according to protocol
  • foster and maintain positive working relationships
  • support team to achieve common goals
  • ensure compliance with quality standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
