Job Requirements

  • Education high school diploma
  • Preferred associate's degree
  • Minimum 5 years luxury food management experience
  • Must speak, read, write and understand English

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Help build Room Service menu with F&B management
  • Inform F&B management of popular/unpopular items on Room Service menu and wine list
  • Ensure standard of food presentation and quality of dishes served to guests
  • Liaise with Chef/F&B management on specials for promotion in Room Service
  • Develop and implement amenities for VIPs and guests
  • Attend to, follow up, and report guest complaints and organize preventive measures
  • Assist waiters in VIP and Presidential suite services
  • Define job descriptions and discuss them with staff
  • Provide necessary training for job competence
  • Ensure awareness of departmental and hotel policies among staff
  • Prepare duty rosters and timesheets for Room Service staff
  • Ensure perfect appearance and hygiene for Room Service staff
  • Hold daily and weekly staff meetings
  • Discuss corrective actions for identified problems
  • Address staff queries and strengthen team communication
  • Supervise staff performance and issue disciplinary warnings
  • Check department for maintenance requirements
  • Maintain food and equipment par stocks
  • Inventory operating equipment to control losses
  • Allocate job tasks as orders come from cashiers
  • Discuss non-routine matters with F&B management
  • Achieve and maintain set budget
  • Maintain time parameters in tray/trolley service
  • Maintain strict security standards to avoid damage and theft
  • Control breakage of operating equipment
  • Recruit staff with HR department
  • Organize staff within department
  • Discipline staff in liaison with HR department
