Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Or three years of relevant work experience in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work PRN shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to follow isolation and sanitation protocols
- Ability to handle cash with integrity
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Ability to use computer systems to log meal deliveries
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Knowledge of proper isolation and sanitation procedures
- Competence in handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work evenings and weekends on PRN basis
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Distribute patient trays in a friendly and courteous manner
- Follow proper isolation procedures including verifying two patient identifiers
- Communicate with RNs when assistance is needed for Red or Pink isolation rooms
- Pick up soiled patient trays according to daily schedule for sanitation
- Assist in distributing room service menus on patient trays and to ISS stations
- Talk with patients and families to support room service ordering
- Help coworkers to maintain department quality and efficiency
- Assist Expeditor and Cooks by stocking refrigerators, bases, lids, and paper goods
- Line patient trays and assemble flatware while keeping host area clean as per Joint Commission/Tri-County standards
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
- Utilize the Tray Monitor System to log meal delivery times and ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with Diet Office and management when service recovery or safety concerns arise
