Job Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers common fractions and decimals with the ability to compute percentages
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of previous food service or customer service experience
- Physical ability to stand walk reach pull push and lift up to 35 pounds
- Exposure to patient environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Availability to work 4 night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
- No driving required
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of previous food service or customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills including experience with CBORD preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Duties
- Communicating effectively timely and courteously with patients family and nursing staff when obtaining meal choices
- Entering meal selections orders preferences and special requests accurately into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Monitoring patient satisfaction and identifying meal service problems to assist with missed meal reports
- Coordinating with dietitians or dietetic technicians regarding patient food beverage and supplement intake issues
- Delivering and collecting patient trays snacks and tube feeding products
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment including waste disposal and equipment operation
- Performing additional duties such as acting as Room Service Call Representative as needed
