Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of food service or customer service experience
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to perform basic math calculations
- ability to work standing and walking for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- availability to work 20 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays
- comfort working in a patient care environment
- ability to use computer systems such as CBORD
- strong interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- ability to read and communicate in English
- ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- strong interpersonal communication skills
- strong customer service skills
- basic computer skills
- prior food service or customer service experience of at least one year
- experience with CBORD preferred
Job Duties
- communicate effectively with patients, family members, and staff when distributing menus
- obtain meal choices and enter them into the CBORD Room Service tablet system
- verify patient satisfaction with meals and identify meal service problems
- assist patients reported on the missed meal list with menu selections
- communicate with dietitians or dietetic technicians about poor patient intake
- update all meal selections, orders, preferences, and special food requests in the CBORD system
- maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including waste disposal and equipment operation
- deliver patient nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products
- perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
- work effectively in a team environment
