Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
  • Ability to stand and walk extensively
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Exposure to patient care environment

  • At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • Experience with CBORD preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and compute percentages

Job Duties

  • Communicating effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing, and family members when obtaining meal choices
  • Entering meal selections into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
  • Verifying patient satisfaction and identifying meal service problems
  • Assisting patients on missed meal reports for menu selections
  • Communicating with dietitian or dietetic technician regarding patient food, beverage or supplement intake concerns
  • Communicating patient special requests related to diet or diet education
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary work environment including waste disposal and equipment operation
  • Delivering all patient nourishments, snacks and tube feeding products
  • Performing duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
  • Working well in a team environment
