Job Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute percentages
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to effectively communicate by telephone, in person and fax
- Exposure to patient environment

- CBORD experience preferred
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
Job Duties
- Communicate effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing, and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Verify patient satisfaction and identify meal service problems
- Assist patients listed on missed meal report for menu selections each meal
- Communicate with the dietitian or dietetic technician when patient’s food, beverage, or supplement intake is poor
- Communicate patient’s special requests for food not allowed on their diets or diet education
- Accurately enter and update all meal selections, orders, preferences, and special requests in CBORD system
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, performing cleaning and waste disposal duties
- Deliver all patient nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products
- Identify safety hazards in the department and react to eliminate hazards quickly
- Work well in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
