Job Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, pull, push and lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to effectively communicate via telephone, in person and other means
- Willingness to work 4-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Exposure to patient care environment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Experience with CBORD system preferred
Job Duties
- Communicate effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing, and family members when obtaining meal choices to enter into the CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Verify patient satisfaction and identify meal service problems
- Assist patients on missed meal reports for menu selections each meal
- Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food, beverage or supplement intake is poor
- Communicate patient’s special requests for food not allowed on their diets or diet education
- Accurately enter and update all meal selections, orders, preferences, special requests for food in CBORD system
- Maintain clean and sanitary work environment including cleaning, waste disposal and equipment operation
- Deliver all patient nourishments, snacks and tube feeding products
- Work well in a team environment
- May perform duties of the Room Service Call Representative as needed
