Job Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate in the English language
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute percentages
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- CBORD experience preferred
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Speech, sight and hearing to communicate effectively
- Ability to work 4-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic computer skills
- At least one-year previous food service or customer service experience
- CBORD system experience preferred
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to compute percentages
Job Duties
- Communicate effectively, timely and courteously with patients, nursing and family members when obtaining meal choices
- Enter meal selections into CBORD computerized Room Service tablet system
- Verify patient satisfaction and identify meal service problems
- Assist patients on missed meal report for menu selections
- Communicate with dietitian or dietetic technician when patient food intake is poor
- Report patient’s special requests for food not allowed on diets
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work environment
- Deliver patient nourishments, snacks, and tube feeding products
- Perform cleaning, waste disposal and equipment operation duties
- Monitor and fill floor stock according to pars
- Identify and eliminate safety hazards
- Perform duties of Room Service Call Representative as needed
- Work well in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
