Job Requirements
- Associates Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Manager Certified in Food Safety License preferred
- ability to read, write and speak English
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- ability to read and follow recipes
- minimum one year experience in culinary arts
- three years of extensive production experience in quantity food preparation preferred
- physical ability to work long periods standing and lift moderate to heavy food supplies
- ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Job Duties
- Reviews menu entrees to ensure timely preparation and readiness
- reviews food production figures to determine quantity of main entrees and coordinates with supervisor to minimize waste
- measures, weighs and combines ingredients for soups, meats, sauces, and gravies according to recipes
- cooks regular and special diet foods ensuring proper seasoning, quality, and temperature
- operates manual and automatic kitchen equipment such as ovens, microwaves, grills, fryers, blenders, slicers, and mixers
- estimates food requirements and controls serving portions to reduce cost and leftovers
- maintains cleanliness and sanitary standards of equipment, utensils, and work areas
- ensures proper storage, covering, and dating of foodstuffs
- performs other duties as assigned
