- basic knowledge of unit weights and measures and basic mathematical functions

- prior experience in patient care capacity preferred
Job Duties
- Delivers patient trays including meals, snacks, and NOW trays
- assists patients with positioning trays and opening food items
- loads and pushes hot and cold food carts to and from patient units
- transports equipment such as cart lifts, dumbwaiters, and elevators
- completes menu rounds and records menu choices accurately
- adjusts menus for modified diets and informs patients of dietary options
- retrieves patient trays and cleans and restocks carts
- utilizes computerized menu systems to generate diet order lists and verifies accuracy with unit charge nurses
