Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of professional experience in quality food or hospitality service or institutional food service role
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card
- Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Capacity to set and deliver meal service on time according to standards
- Proven food and beverage knowledge
- Professional attitude and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and composure in stressful situations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend frequently
- Ability to lift and carry food service trays
- Willingness to work flexible locations and schedules including weekends and holidays
- Passing of criminal background check and pre-employment physical
Job Qualifications
- Two years of professional experience in food or hospitality service or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card
- Knowledge and abilities essential for successful job performance
- Ability to deliver quality meal service on time and according to hospital standards
- Proven knowledge of food and beverage
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Professional attitude with hospitality focus and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm under stress
- Degree in nutrition or related field preferred
- Training in food or hospitality services preferred
- Room service experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide high-quality, personalized meal service to patients
- Take and honor patient food selections and dietary preferences
- Deliver meals, snacks, and beverages promptly to inpatient floors
- Follow patient identification procedures and dietary orders accurately
- Utilize food service ordering software and technology proficiently
- Respond promptly to patient telephone requests related to meal service
- Address and resolve concerns regarding meal accuracy and quality through service recovery
