Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have 5 to 7 years cooking, supervising, and management experience within the past 10 years
- Must possess job related tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must maintain composure in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays with variable overtime
- Must interact successfully with other team members and management
- Must tolerate exposure to secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
- Food handlers certification required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 5 to 7 years cooking, supervising, and management experience within the past 10 years
- Experience roasting beef, pork, and fowl
- Knowledge of sauces and gravies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Knowledge of Italian food, Asian food, seafood, and soups is a plus
- Experience operating all kitchen equipment
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
Job Duties
- Oversee and supervise the kitchen staff under the guidance of the Executive Chef
- Ensure that the quality and presentation of all food displays meet company standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of sauces and gravies preparation
- Expertly carve, BBQ, sauté, broil, and roast a variety of main meat dishes
- Work in all stations while maintaining the highest quality in finished products
- Apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills
- Ensure all workstations are clean during service time
- Disinfect and sanitize all worktables and cutting boards
- Maintain kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements
- Verify that no food leaves the kitchen without a ticket, including manager meals
- Properly wrap, label, date, and store all food items in their proper areas
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during interactions with guests, team members, and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
