Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • ability to obtain and retain KRGC Gaming License
  • seven to ten years experience as a pastry chef, chef d cuisine, or sous chef
  • four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • ability to work independently and within a team
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Job Duties

  • Developing and managing the kitchen budget
  • training kitchen personnel in the safe operation of equipment
  • ensuring maintenance compliance with manufacturer instructions
  • determining and reviewing staffing levels
  • training staff to prepare special dietary meals
  • directing kitchen personnel including Pit Master, Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef
  • managing hiring, training, promotions, and discipline
  • controlling food costs and purchasing
  • collaborating on menu development
  • handling high-volume customer interactions
  • building guest relationships
  • observing and reporting unusual activity
  • resolving routine customer complaints
  • maintaining cleanliness and paperwork accuracy
  • adhering to regulatory and company policies
  • resolving guest disputes efficiently
  • performing other assigned duties
