Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five years kitchen experience
  • Minimum two years kitchen management or four years lead cook/saucier/Chef de Partie experience
  • Ability to pass assessment test verbal, written, and practical
  • Food Handler card or ability to obtain
  • Minimum age of 19 years
  • No felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
  • Background investigation clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license
  • Ability to communicate in basic English
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work evenings, graveyard, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to work in a high noise, heat, fumes, and steam environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five years of kitchen experience
  • At least two years kitchen management or four years lead cook/saucier/Chef de Partie experience
  • Ability to pass skill assessment tests including verbal, written, and practical
  • Food Handler card or ability to obtain
  • Must be 19 years or older
  • Knowledge of culinary methods and techniques
  • Familiarity with food preparation equipment and machinery
  • Understanding of financial reports including general ledgers and profit and loss statements
  • Experience in menu creation
  • Awareness of global and local food trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in evaluating staff and communicating goals
  • Knowledge of food ordering and procurement
  • Excellent communication skills in basic English
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Supervisory and management skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively

Job Duties

  • Responsible for daily operations of assigned food venue or production areas
  • Responsible for quality, cost, waste, and distribution of all foods to all areas
  • Order/procurement of all food and nonfood items
  • Ensures proper delegation of all assignments, tasks and job to employees
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, City, State and Federal Health/Food Safety codes and maintains clean, safe work areas
  • Provides training, organizes workloads and directs staff
  • Creates schedules according to venue and business needs
  • Maintains supplies and service ware
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Conducts performance evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinates with Food & Beverage Department to communicate directives
  • Contributes to a team effort and completes related tasks
  • Performs other duties as required
