  • Basic ability to comprehend verbal and written English
  • Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to guests and team members
  • Ability to lift equipment, supplies or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
  • Ability to push or pull cart or table weighing up to 150 lbs
  • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces
  • Ability to extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at varying heights on balconies
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Cleans guest room and bathroom including bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using proper procedures and chemicals per hotel standards
  • Change linen and make beds in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Dust all guest room surfaces including furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves
  • Vacuum guest room carpets in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Remove trash and replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms per hotel procedures
  • Clean all windows inside and out
  • Greet guests immediately with friendly, sincere acknowledgement
  • Report all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders and notify maintenance department of emergencies
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve cart, push to assigned rooms, and restock heavy cart
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion
  • Clean balconies, if applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned
