Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred
- ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- ability to work flexible shifts
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch and stoop frequently
- excellent customer service skills

- physical ability to perform cleaning duties and operate equipment

Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
- completes quality check on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left in rooms and handles Lost and Found procedure
- reports maintenance problems to maintenance department
- uses supplies and equipment carefully
- wears proper uniform at all times
- achieves score of 90 percent or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- knows in house products and local area information
- displays organizational skills when stocking cart
- maintains commercial area cleanliness
- responds timely to customer needs
- uses guest names upon entering rooms
- checks vacant rooms daily
- maintains supply room cleanliness
- displays team attitude and assists coworkers
