Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required
- ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English
- ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- ability to comply in standardized situations
- ability to work flexible shifts
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- good vision including close, distance, and color vision
- ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, climb, balance, talk, and hear regularly
- ability to work in mentally and physically stressful situations

Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- cleans multiple guest rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture and washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fans
- completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind and follows Lost and Found procedures
- reports maintenance problems through proper communication channels
- uses supplies and equipment carefully
- wears proper uniform at all times
- achieves 90 percent or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- demonstrates thorough knowledge of in-house products and local information
- organizes cart and timeliness in restocking
- keeps commercial areas clean and neat
- responds promptly to housekeeping supply requests
- uses guest names when entering occupied rooms
- checks vacant rooms daily for correct status
- maintains supply room organization
- displays teamwork and assists co-workers
