Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience beneficial but not required
- Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive cleaning tasks
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow safety and cleaning protocols
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service
Job Qualifications
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to collaborate and assist co-workers with their job duties
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences including supervisors, coworkers, and the public
Job Duties
- Provide excellence in service to guests and colleagues excelling to Marriott cleaning standards
- Clean bathroom fixtures and surfaces including bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using appropriate cleaning tools and agents
- Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents
- Strip beds and make beds, change bed linens handling bedspreads up to 50 lbs
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly
- Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash
- Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms
- Sign for room keys, retrieve them, push to assigned rooms and restock cleaning carts
- Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion
- Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
