Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work long hours with an average of 36-40 hours per week
  • Must follow safety and security procedures and regulations
  • Must convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be effective at listening and clarifying concerns
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for entire shift
  • Must be able to report issues and coordinate with supervisors

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred but not required
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Effective listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms including picking up trash, changing linen and making the bed, cleaning entire bathroom, sweeping and dusting guest room, cleaning windows and balcony
  • Stock and restock housekeeping cart according to prescribed procedures and safety regulations
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies, and priority requests from Senior Housekeeper, turn in keys and unused supplies at shift end
  • Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints hospitably to ensure satisfaction
  • Report missing articles, damage, and mechanical problems to Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in room
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed
