Job Requirements

  • Ability to work long hours occasionally with an average of 36-40 hours per week
  • physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 20 pounds frequently
  • ability to bend, lift, stand or walk for entire shift
  • ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • effective listening and problem-solving skills
  • willingness to perform other duties as required by management

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred but not required
  • good communication skills to convey information clearly
  • ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns of co-workers and guests
  • ability to follow safety and security protocols
  • willingness to perform additional duties as mandated by management

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms including picking up trash
  • change linen and make beds
  • clean entire bathrooms
  • sweep and dust guest rooms
  • clean windows and balconies
  • retrieve, stock, restock and store housekeeping cart according to safety and security procedures
  • receive assigned section, keys, supplies and priority room requests from the Senior Housekeeper and turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift
  • respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction
  • report missing articles, damages or mechanical problems to Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in the room
  • coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed
