Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in housekeeping or similar roles preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English
  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards and wear personal protective equipment
  • Capacity to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate with guests about job-related needs
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritize rooms requesting early cleaning
  • Check inventory of cleaning cart and add necessary supplies
  • Knock and announce self before entering room and return later if occupied
  • Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets and provide fresh replacements
  • Neatly make beds and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies
  • Clean and disinfect bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policies
  • Wipe surfaces in room, clean mirrors, vacuum floors, and remove trash
  • Check complimentary coffee and toiletry supplies, restock according to hotel checklist and policy
  • Ensure room meets hotel standards with a final room inspection
  • Notify supervisor of room availability and report any suspicious activity to security
  • Ensure soiled linens are laundered, including loading washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels
  • Notify maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs
  • Take found items to designated lost and found area if guest has checked out
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
