Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move equipment for entire shift
  • Able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds regularly
  • Must maneuver loaded carts up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must adhere to safety and uniform policies
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Must complete onboarding and training within 30 days
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting is a plus
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and brand standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle guest issues using L.E.A.R.N. method
  • Basic knowledge of safety and chemical handling procedures
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks
  • Commitment to punctuality and attendance
  • Willingness to learn and complete training promptly

Job Duties

  • Clean rooms following Scarlett Hotel Group guidelines and certification within allotted time
  • Identify and report maintenance needs and broken items
  • Use 5 and 10 rule to greet guests with eye contact, smile, and clear voice
  • Live the mission as a goodwill ambassador inside and outside of work
  • Promote teamwork and an enjoyable work environment
  • Complete onboarding and training within 30 days including 8 step stay over room cleaning and 10 step checkout cleaning methods
  • Communicate clearly between shifts and with team members and leaders
  • Participate in daily preshift
  • Keep a clean and organized cart
  • Stock the cart at the end of the day
  • Ensure safety and security of guests and team members
  • Practice energy conservation
  • Report lost and found inquiries
  • Follow key control procedures
  • Utilize service recovery and defect tracking processes
  • Use personal protective equipment when necessary
  • Follow proper moving and lifting procedures
  • Adhere to uniform standards
  • Work independently
  • Assist laundry department when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
