Job Requirements

- ability to perform strenuous physical activity indoors
- able to work in environments with heat and humidity such as laundry areas
- must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs continually
- must be capable of pushing, pulling, and moving equipment and furniture
- must be able to work with arms raised for extended periods
- must be able to maneuver a fully loaded cleaning cart
- good visual acuity to identify dirt and debris
- ability to read and understand written instructions and printouts
Job Qualifications
- must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
- must understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- must communicate verbally and in writing
- must be able to lift up to 50 lbs continually
- must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture
- must be able to work with arms raised above head
- must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50 lbs
- ability to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
- ability to read written instructions and computer printouts
Job Duties
- Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies, constantly maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms
- cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways
- washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls
- replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature
- washes all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas
- dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings
- strips bed of all linen and remakes with fresh linen
- lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under bed
- checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves
- restocks guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets and pillows
- vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25 lbs
- inspects all door and window locks and reports any unsecured or unsafe situations
- inspects all room equipment to ensure proper working order and reports deficiencies
- secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies
- maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
- performs other duties as assigned by management
