Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 6 months to 1 year cleaning and/or housekeeping environment experience
  • ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
  • ability to stoop and bend
  • ability to lift up to 25-50lbs
  • ability to work with medium and heavy chemicals
  • ability to operate a vacuum cleaner
  • ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the daily room quota generally through various cleaning routine that includes moving beds to cleaning over and underneath furniture
  • edging, cleaning headboards, windows, mirrors, walls, a/c vents, lighting fixtures, doors, closets, curtains, dust, clean polish/shine pictures, tables, lamps, and other surfaces in the room
  • empty and clean all trash cans
  • remove shower curtains
  • polish all bathroom fixtures
  • extra scrubbing for extraordinary clean guest rooms
  • Maintain and ensure the impeccable cleanliness of assigned guest rooms, bathrooms and hallways (front of rooms) including front door, by following assigned procedures for room cleaning
  • Make beds in accordance to the guidelines
  • Vacuum guest room carpet
  • Replace guest room amenities as necessary
  • Checks and secures rooms
  • Communicate all cleaned rooms to the Housekeeping Office/Supervisor
  • Offer assistant to guests in a courteous manner and address/satisfy all guest requests as soon as possible, keeping supervisor informed of any special requests or circumstances
  • Ensure proper handling of guest personal items
  • Routinely check on the working condition of lighting, plumbing, televisions, alarms, and thermostats of assigned guest rooms, and report all maintenance concerns/problems to the executive and/or assistant housekeeper as necessary
  • Communicate and inform supervisor of damaged or dirty furnishings in need of cleaning or fixtures in assigned areas in need of repair
  • Responsible for safe keeping of the Master Key
  • Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance at all times
  • Complete special projects as assigned
