Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 or more hours
  • ability to walk up and down stairs, stoop, kneel, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, push and pull 200 lbs
  • ability to wear personal protective equipment properly
  • must be available to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred

  • professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
  • willingness to follow hotel policies and safety guidelines
  • ability to learn software and computer systems

  • preferred bilingual or multilingual skills
  • prior hotel experience
  • emotional intelligence training

Job Duties

  • Provide a pleasant room experience to guests
  • ensure all guest room areas meet hotel standards including cleanliness and repair
  • replace and change items such as bed linen, pillows, towels, and bath care products
  • sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and clean high touch point areas
  • complete daily room assignments
  • assist with reports, maintenance requests, logbooks, and lost and found
  • regularly assist with deep cleaning projects
  • maintain confidentiality of sensitive hotel information
  • demonstrate brand standards and professional behaviors
  • follow safety guidelines
  • adhere to employee handbook policies including punctuality and professional demeanor
  • engage with guests and associates professionally
  • follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and address issues
  • assist with training new associates
  • resolve guest and associate concerns promptly
  • report issues and suggestions to management
  • maintain communication with all hotel departments
  • follow posted schedules to reduce overtime and missed meal breaks
